Affiliate links to our site can be placed anywhere on your site. Here are some techniques for you to achieve a high click-through rate (CTR) for your affiliate links. A higher CTR can increase your odds for earning commission. While you can place a series of links along the margin of your web site, they will get better visibility if they are within the flow of information. Your visitors come to your site for good content. By adding affiliate links to your content, they will be seen as potentially more valuable and possibly more like a benefit.

Here are some possible scenarios.

Link to tickets for events you're discussing - if it's topical they may click through and buy.
The Yankees are hosting the Red Sox for three games. The games are sold out, but you may be able to find tickets here.

Link to event tickets that are interesting - it may catch their attention enough to click through, then if the buy anything later, you'll get a commission.
The Packers look great in the preseason and could go all the way to the Super Bowl. It's hard to get into that game, but you can already get Super Bowl tickets here. Man those prices are high, but it is the biggest sporting event in the US.

Link to tickets in high demand - if the NBA Finals are hot, link to them.

Be sure to avoid using link anchor text that is confusing or misleading. If you link to something for which your visitors have no interest, you risk upsetting them.

The key to achieving high CTR is to make the links visible and interesting. Doing this should entice your visitors to visit our site and purchase tickets, for which you will earn commission.
